Allison Villastrigo feels so privileged to be in her third year as fifth grade teacher for Early Light Academy. She thinks fifth grade is the absolute best grade to teach because the students are so wonderful and they get to learn all about the history of our great nation.
Allison grew up in Boise, Idaho and also attended college in her home state. She studied at Albertson College of Idaho, a small, private liberal arts college. She earned a BA in Psychology and MA in Teaching. In college, Allison learned the value of a well-rounded, meaningful education in a close-knit, caring community. She strives to create a similar environment for her students.
Allison began teaching in 2007. Because her family has moved around for her husband’s work, she gained experience teaching in Idaho (6th grade, Middleton Middle School), Utah (5th grade, North Davis Prep Academy), Washington (2nd grade, White Bluffs Elementary), and here at ELA. She has two spunky children, who both attend ELA, with her husband of nine years. The Villastrigo family lives in Daybreak and they enjoy all of the fantastic area parks, wonderful community, and, of course, being a part of Early Light Academy!
