Anjeanette (AJ) Armstrong takes pride in bringing passion and enthusiasm to the classroom, discovering new and better ways to teach, and helping others reach their potential. She strives to have a positive impact on self-esteem and building confidence in others.
AJ attended Western Governors University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management and a Master of Education degree in Learning and Technology. She is also certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
During her career she has developed acumen in various facets of the HR industry, yet found her passion in learning and development. Her previous experience teaching 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Managers, and Teens provided her the background necessary to oversee and teach the Leader in Me program at Early Light Academy. She’s a lifelong learner who promotes continuous improvement and strives to inspire others to stretch and build their knowledge and skill sets.
In January 2018, she received the KSL Newsradio and Zions Bank's Teacher Feature Award. In October 2018, she received Early Light Academy's Teacher of the Year Award as recognized by South Jordan Chamber of Commerce.
When she’s not teaching, you’ll find her with her family at the movies, on the golf course, hitting the slopes, or exploring a new city or island. She loves to work hard and play hard and encourages others to do the same.
AJ enjoys teaching at Early Light Academy and looks forward to her fifth year of creating many great experiences and memories for her students!
