Brogan Johnson grew up in the small town of Salina, Utah. In high school, he had the opportunity to get involved with many clubs and activities including sports, student government, FBLA, and math club to name a few. He developed his love for math early on in middle school, which carried over to high school, then to college, and now he gets to share it with the students at Early Light Academy.
After high school he moved north to the big city (Orem) to attend Utah Valley University and enrolled in their pre-engineering program. While attending UVU he kept his math skills fresh by tutoring all levels of math in the math lab, from pre-algebra to calculus and beyond. After his first year in the pre-engineering program, he decided to change his major to mathematics and soon realized that he had strong interests in probability and statistics. He graduated from UVU in 2015 with a bachelors degree in Mathematics with an emphasis in Actuarial Science.
In his spare time, Brogan enjoys sporting events. He likes to play volleyball and basketball mostly, but is always up for trying new things. He is a strong supporter of his younger siblings (who are involved in many sports) and tries to catch as many of their games as he can. Brogan is a big Jazz fan and loves watching and discussing anything Jazz related. He also likes boating, traveling to new places, and enjoying the outdoors.
Brogan loves working with the junior high students and is happy to be part of the ELA community!
