Over the last ten years, Dana Thompson has taught middle school and high school areas of Spanish, English, history, and intermediate ESL. She has been the lead instructor and facilitator at St. Mary’s International Summer Camp in Medford, Oregon. She has received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Social Science from Western Governor’s University and a Master’s of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University.Dana was born and raised in a small town on the coast in Southern California but has lived and worked in several states. Her favorite part about teaching is helping her students find their “love” for learning. She focuses on creating lessons that are challenging, relevant and connect to her students’ lives. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, movies, hiking, traveling, and spending time by the pool with her husband and children. She looks forward to teaching 8th and 9th grade English and being a part of the dynamic middle school team at Early Light Academy.
