While working as a personal care assistant for disabled children and tutor, Mica learned what it means to make a difference in someones life. She loved working with children and decided to pursue a career as a teacher. Mica graduated from Western Governors University with her Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. In 2014, she joined the ELA family as a third grade teacher and has loved being a part of this awesome community ever since! She loves to find creative and engaging ways to teach concepts including hands on projects and art.
Mica grew up in Minnesota, spending most of her time outdoors enjoying the lakes! She has fallen in love with Utah’s amazing mountains and national parks. In her free time Mica especially enjoys hiking with her husband Brandon, going to playgrounds with her children, playing games, and reading. She has two children, her 4 year old son Ryker and 1 year old daughter Arya, who are the joys of her life.
