While working as a personal care assistant for disabled children, Mica learned what it means to make a difference in someones life. She loved working with children and decided to pursue a career as a teacher. Mica graduated from Western Governors University with her Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. She worked as a substitute teacher for over a year and also spent time as a tutor. In 2014, she joined the ELA family as a third grade teacher and has loved being a part of this awesome community ever since!
Mica grew up in Minnesota, spending most of her time outdoors enjoying the lakes! She has lived in Utah for about 10 years and has fallen in love with Utah’s amazing mountains and national parks. Mica especially enjoys hiking with her husband Brandon and together they have visited many different national parks in Utah and around the U.S, her favorite being Glaciers National Park. She has two children, her 3 year old son Ryker and newborn daughter Arya, who are the joys of her life.
