When Early Light Academy first opened its doors Rachel had 3 children attending, twins in 7th grade and her youngest in Kindergarten. After spending many hours volunteering at the school, she realized her desire to work with the staff and children of Early Light Academy. Prior to joining ELA’s staff, She enjoyed 13yrs of being a stay-at-home mom. Every day is a new adventure in helping children understand all the concepts that will bring them closer to being amazing readers!
She was born and raised in Utah and after graduating from American Fork High School, she moved to Logan where she attended Utah State University for a time. She met her husband, Jack, while working at a hardware store. Six months after first meeting, they were married and have been married for 18 years. They have lived in Utah for most of their married life, with a move to Washington State in 2000 for her husband’s career. In 2005, after enjoying the beauty of Washington, they decided it was time to move back to Utah to be closer to family.
When she's not at work, she enjoys baking, jewelry making, camping, and football. Most of all she loves spending time with her family.
