Shannon grew up in a small private school in southern Minnesota, where she learned to value education, community, and warm weather. After graduating, she attended BYU Provo, where she earned her B.A. in English Teaching. Soon after, when her husband’s job brought them to St. Louis, she attended the University of Missouri, where she earned her master’s degree in education. Then, after yet another job transfer brought them and their three kids to Massachusetts, she began her doctorate in educational leadership, which she is set to finish next year. She just moved here to Utah in June, and is very excited to begin at ELA!
In her spare time, she enjoys, traveling both with and without her family, hiking, going to the beach, going to the gym, and doing almost anything outdoors.
